Landmark

I told you so...what a night at Flamingo Road Church.

I've been to dozens of sports venues in my life. World Series, UM football, Dolphins and Heat, MLB games all over the place, yet no sporting event yields the electricity and enthusiasm as a SEC battle at Razorback Stadium. Maybe because that is the team I am passionate about. Last night at Cooper City the electricity and enthusiasm for what God is doing at Flamingo was landmark.

The book of Joshua says: "Each of you heft a stone to your shoulder, a stone for each of the tribes of the People of Israel, so you'll have something later to mark the occasion. When your children ask you, 'What are these stones to you?' you'll say, 'The flow of the Jordan was stopped in front of the Chest of the Covenant of God as it crossed the Jordan—stopped in its tracks. These stones are a permanent memorial for the People of Israel.'" Joshua 4:6-7 The Message

Joshua left these memorials (landmarks) all over as a reminder to the people of the great things God had done for them.

First Wednesday was one of those landmark nights in the history of our church. There were great stories, great worship, great challenges, and hundreds of names on the clear board.

When the service is posted on the web I will blog the link.

What a great night!
